Current Opportunities

We are currently looking for individuals who can assist for the following specialty opportunities

Computer Set-up
We are recruiting for a volunteer who can take an assessment of a few older computers we have and determine if they have the capacity to hold programs such as Microsoft Word. The volunteer will need to assess, and work on these computers to get them up to speed (if possible) and download Microsoft Word.

Requirement: A basic understanding of computers is necessary for this project. These computers will be used for youth in our Transitions program.

 

Vocal Instructor
Do you love to sing? We are recruiting for an individual who can provide vocal lessons.  Schedule is flexible. Individual must have professional experience in the field.

Program Support

360°kids provides a number of programs to youth throughout our various locations.

All 360°kids’ programs and services are made possible by the collaboration of our clients, our staff, volunteers and donors/funders. Without any one of these pieces, we would not be able to successfully serve those who need us. Volunteers donate their time and passion to help further the 360°kids mission, and in doing so, are a key member of the 360°kids team!


Hairdresser & Esthetician

Are you a certified Hair stylist or Esthetician? If so, than we are looking for you to come join our volunteer team!
The Hairdresser/Esthetician provides on-site hair dressing or esthetic services to clients of 360°kids.
Schedule: Flexible to commit to a regular or bi-weekly schedule.
Monday-Friday (some weekend opportunities may be available)

Health Clinic
Supporting youth at our Home Base Drop-in Centre in Richmond Hill, Volunteer will provide professional health services to at-risk youth attending 360°kids programs that may not have access to health services.
Schedule: Flexible to work 1 day bi-weekly, 4-8 hours. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to assist clients.

Recreation & Wellness Instructor
The Recreation/Wellness Instructor will create, develop and facilitate specific recreation activities, and/or programs in coordination with program staff.
So, if you are a yoga teacher, dance instructor, or sports coach apply now!
Schedule: Flexible to commit to a regular weekly or bi-weekly schedule. Monday-Friday flexibility to work additional hours if needed. Some weekend opportunities may be available.

Workshop Facilitator

The Workshop Facilitator Volunteers will develop and facilitate a workshop in coordination with the program staff. We are looking for subject matter experts who can facilitate life skills workshops. Examples include social media tools, resume writing tools, financial literacy, cooking skills, trades etc.
Schedule: Flexible to commit to a regular weekly or bi-weekly schedule from Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work additional hours if needed. Some weekend opportunities may be available.

After school Program Recreation Instructor
The 360ºkids After School program is a free after school program for school-aged children promoting active and healthy kids in both mind and body. The program includes a variety of physical activities and sports, cooking classes, a daily healthy snack, guest presenters, some reading and homework help, as well as self-esteem building activities. The goal of the program is to meet the social, physical and nutritional needs of many of our students during the after school period of their day.

The Program Volunteer will help facilitate various activities that promote physical activity, healthy eating and nutrition, positive personal development and wellness and to engage and support elementary and primary school-aged children and families in our community. This program runs September to June with the school year, in several different locations in Markham, Richmond Hill and Newmarket.
Schedule: Weekdays 3-6 PM

After school Program- Program Development & Administrative Support
The After School Program is looking for administrative support to assist in program development. The Program Developer Volunteer will assist in program planning for each After School Program location. A background in recreation programming is required. The After School Program is also looking for volunteers with a background in coaching, refereeing or instructing sports and active recreation games.

Delivery Driver
Supporting all 360°kids programs, the delivery driver will pick up and deliver goods from local businesses that donate to 360°kids and deliver them to program locations. Please note, at this time we are currently looking for relief drivers to cover shifts.
Schedule: Flexible to work 1-2 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends.

Yard Maintenance 

We are looking for volunteers who can assist in maintaining the yard at two of our residence locations. This includes; prepping the yard for fall, mowing the lawn, and maintaining the overall curb appeal of the property.

Schedule: Very flexible

Kitchen Assistant
We are looking for kitchen help to assist in daily meal preparation, service and clean up.
Schedule: For lunch service 12:00-2:00 PM
For Dinner Service 4:30-7 PM

Events

Whether you host a bootcamp fundraiser, or a BBQ for your friends, register your event today and raise money and awareness to help support youth overcome crisis and transition to a state of safety and stability. It’s never been easier to get started!

360°kids Event Ambassador
Events are an important way for the agency to bring in funds, promote awareness within the community and showcase some highlights of our hard work. They are also a great way to support our mission and programs in fun, exciting and very social ways. Volunteers play a very large role in events benefiting 360ºkids and can help with campaign and event mail-outs, becoming a member of an event committee or participating in the promoting, setting-up and operation of events.

360ºkids events include the Every Kid Matters Gala, Trivia Tournament, Toque Tuesday and the 360°Experience.


Nightstop

Nightstop provides a bed for the night for young people who need it, in a moment of crisis. Providing a safety net to those forced to leave their home, Nightstop places young people in a safe and warm home for the night, provided by a vetted and approved volunteer. It prevents young people from sleeping on the streets, “couch surfing”, or staying in unsuitable accommodations where they would be at risk of abuse.

Host Volunteer
We are looking for host homes across York Region! Are you interested in providing a safe and warm environment to a youth in need for the night?  Volunteers must have a spare bedroom in their home. Nightstop Driver
The Volunteer Drivers will meet the guest at the pre-arranged place, drive them to the Volunteer Host’s home, introduces them to their Host and then calls the Program Coordinator to confirm that the person has arrived safely.

360°kids is a supporter of youth getting involved in their communities and giving back. Schools and other groups are always encouraged to create their own fundraising initiatives.
