Housing
Through 150 hours of facilitated pre-employment workshops and 210 hours of paid work placement opportunities ($17.20/hour), B4S has the potential to make a lasting impact toward sustainable employment for youth.
Week 1-5
Weeks 1 to 5 focus on career counselling; employability skill-building workshops and certifications; and hands-on workforce opportunities to foster successful entry to the working world and develop a path to living wages.
Workshops are delivered in a hybrid model, with a mix of virtual and in-person classes across York Region.
Week 6-12
Weeks 6 to 12 provide participants with either:
- a supportive work placement with a community employer or in a 360kids commercial training kitchen.
To be Eligible, applicants must be:
- Between the ages of 15–30
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected
persons as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act - Legally entitled to work in Canada and meet provincial
- Resident of York Region
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- Unemployed/underemployed
- Not enrolled in full-time school
- Access to WIFI
