2022 Year In Review

2022 Year In Review

It is a perfect start to our year in review, to quote the wise and thankful words of our CEO, Clovis Grant:

“After 2 long years of restrictions, we welcomed and embraced more opportunities over the past fiscal year to reconnect with each other in different ways. While the pandemic is not yet over, we have appreciated the opportunities for more meals together, more face-to-face discussions and more in-person meetings. Many THANKS to the 360°kids staff team who have been extremely flexible, creative and versatile, despite the many challenges during chaotic times.”

Although our year started slow and often saw our services facing Covid restrictions, we still had opportunities to see wonderful people and organizations, helping us out in the cold start of January .

While in February, Clovis Grant, CEO and Jesse Vacarciuc, from our Peer Outreach program, were invited to speak about the pandemic’s effect on  the mental health of homeless 2SLGBTQ+ citizens.  It was a great opportunity to continue to push the agenda on mental health issues facing our homeless and often marginalized communities.

As the winter months continue to settle in and the nights felt long and cold, 360°kids prepared for their annual 360°Experience.  Celebrating 9 years of raising money and community awareness for youth homelessness in York Region.  The campaign focused on showcasing popular sleeping locations for those facing homelessness.

And as the cold night of March 3, 2022, rolled by, we had another successful community event, that brought in $300,000 of  funds that were used to support our four services and program pillars, housing, education, employment and health & well being.  And again we take the time to thank our partners and sponsors and everyone in our community who took part or volunteered!

In April and May as the flowers began to pop-out of the frozen ground and the weather turned milder, we were able to return to our head office at 80F Centurian, as a team we looked forward to working together, side by side!

And as in many springs over the last few years, 6 amazing Home Depots chose us as their recipient for the Orange Door campaign donations. Thank you!

June came along and we were so grateful to our community, donors and funders, for providing much needed support to ensure we continue to provide our signature high-standard of care, to youth facing crisis in York Region.

Please check back soon, as we will be adding more to our story, in the mean time, here are some pictures of this past year’s events.
