After the session Roger stated, “shoutout to the youth and the team at 360°kids for sharing their passion for the culinary and visual arts.  The youth are using and developing their skills to improve their own lives with the support of the team there.  We all need an inclusive and supportive environment to be able to flourish and find a path to prosperity.  It was an honor to have be a part of this chat, and we learned a lot from and about each other.  Thank you for inviting me to your world.  Feeling inspired”.

A participant from the EBM program commented saying, “The most impactful thing I took away was that he kept saying how you have to just ask for what you want or go for what you want and see what happens. The story of [Mooking] starting out in something that would one day make him very successful by hanging out by the back door of a restaurant is really inspiring in my opinion because it just goes to show as a reminder that as we grow up we sometimes lose our child-like pureness and curiosity; but doing footwork and getting yourself out there even by volunteering and not being afraid to hang around or show face a lot, and show interest, is really pure. Sometimes things aren’t as complicated as they seem like when we get nervous to introduce ourselves at a place of work we’re interested in. Just be yourself and listen to the gifts that are given to us. “ – (R.B EBM Program, 2021)

Overall it was a great event that helped inspire our youth to pursue their passions.

Special thank you to Chef Roger Mooking and Krystal Fahie (Senior Manager Brand Partnerships for Chef Roger Mooking)
